Are You Sick of Political Correctness?
What is political correctness? 

One internet definition I found says this: the avoidance, often considered as taken to extremes, of forms of expression or action that are perceived to exclude, marginalize, or insult groups of people who are socially disadvantaged or discriminated against.

While a good primer, I believe that even this example, attempts to water down what exactly is going on. 

 For myself, any “correctness”: social correctness, cultural correctness, religious correctness and political correctness, are simply methods of avoiding dealing with the problems we’re facing; which is done by diverting from the problem, avoiding any real solutions that may be offered or proposed; and allowing people to remain in the dark, and allowing the problems to persist, fester, and grow. 

 Those who must rely on such methods, suffer from cognitive dissonance: In psychology, cognitive dissonance is the mental stress or discomfort experienced by an individual who holds two or more contradictory beliefs, ideas, or values at the same time; performs an action that is contradictory to their beliefs, ideas, or values; or is confronted by new information that conflicts with existing beliefs, ideas or values. Rather than actually considering information which is contrary to your preprogrammed thought patterns, and thereby changing your mind, beliefs or opinions, it’s much easier to dismiss such evidence and remain in your nice comfy little fantasyland. 

Like the mushroom, many prefer to remain in the dark, being fed a constant supply of manure, for growth and continued existence in your own sheltered world. 

It’s time to scrap these methods of avoiding reality, and it is high time to S.C.R.A.P. Correctness.
